Thank you for considering the Lac La Biche Mission as a destination for your students. We are excited to introduce you to a site rich in history and natural beauty—a place where education comes alive.
Located in Northern Alberta, the Lac La Biche Mission offers a unique setting for learning and exploration. Founded in 1855 by the Oblate Priests of Mary Immaculate, this historic property has been carefully restored and revitalized, making it one of the region’s most significant historical sites.
The Mission is home to several fascinating structures, including the 1894 Convent and a church built in 1923, reflecting the site’s spiritual heritage. Our barns and outbuildings provide a glimpse into the daily lives of those who lived and worked here.
As a National Historic Site and a Designated Provincial Resource, the Lac La Biche Mission is an ideal location for immersive learning experiences.
We look forward to welcoming you and your students to our historic site, where every visit promises to be both educational and inspiring.
